Blue Nautical Hub Brasil takes Santa Catarina's Ocean Economy to the Genoa International Boat Show
The Hub's organisation joins the B2B meetings of the Show's international programme, in the TechTrade area, on 5 and 6 October. The mission presents the 2027 edition to Italian manufacturers of technology, components and equipment and invites companies, institutions and speakers to Florianópolis.
September 2026
Florianópolis, Brazil, September 2026. Blue Nautical Hub Brasil will be in Genoa, Italy, during the 66th Genoa International Boat Show, from 1 to 6 October 2026. The Hub's organisation joins the B2B meetings of the Show's international programme on 5 and 6 October, in the TechTrade area, the section of the fair dedicated to components, equipment, electronics and technology for the marine industry.
The mission has a direct goal: to present the 2027 edition of Blue Nautical Hub Brasil, set for 26 to 30 April in Florianópolis, to Italian manufacturers of technology and equipment, and to invite companies, institutions and experts to take part in the fair, the IV International Symposium and the B2B business round in Santa Catarina.
Why TechTrade
TechTrade sits on the upper floor of the Blue Pavilion and brings together, under one roof, manufacturers of components, accessories, electronic systems, generators, propulsion, marina equipment and technologies for shipyards and owners. Within the Show, it is the area closest to the profile of Blue Nautical Hub Brasil, a technology and innovation fair for the Ocean Economy aimed at those who manufacture, buy and specify.
On 1 and 2 October the area hosts the TechTrade Days, a B2B format that gathers around 400 equipment and component brands and connects shipyards, design offices, buyers, distributors and suppliers. The international programme's meetings, which the Hub takes part in, happen in the same space.
A programme that has doubled in size
The Show is organised by Confindustria Nautica, the Italian marine industry association, and relies on ICE Agenzia, the Italian Trade Agency, for its international buyers and press programme. In 2026 ICE doubled its investment in that programme: the number of foreign buyers rises from 70 to 180, including importers, distributors and dealers, with participants from 35 countries.
The 2026 edition gathers more than 1,000 boats, 215 new products and 45 countries at the Waterfront di Levante, the complex designed by Renzo Piano. Italy exports around 90% of what it produces in the sector, and the Show is that industry's gateway to international markets.
Italy is already in Santa Catarina
The relationship makes sense on both sides. Santa Catarina concentrates Brazil's largest nautical industry and a complete chain, with shipyards, marinas, industrial fishing, ports, defence and services: around 240,000 formal workers and more than 23,000 active establishments in the Ocean Economy. Azimut Yachts runs in Itajaí its only production site outside Italy, and dozens of Santa Catarina shipyards and marinas use Italian engines, propulsion, electronics, hardware and materials.
“We are going to Genoa to talk to the people who make the technology our industry already uses. We want those companies exhibiting in Florianópolis, their experts at the Symposium and their buyers at the business round. The Show is the right place to make that invitation in person,” says Leandro Mané Ferrari, president of Blue Nautical Hub Brasil.
What the Hub brings to Genoa
In the meetings agenda, the organisation presents the International and Delegations Space of the 2027 fair, with the proposal of an Italy Pavilion, the invitation to Italian institutions to take part as partner country, the call for speakers for the IV International Symposium and the formation of a delegation of Italian companies for the B2B round on 30 April 2027.
